To meet the need for high density power distribution in a concentrated,
server-farm environment, Critical Distribution Inc. offers its Remote
Power Distribution Unit as a solution.
The RPDU-168 provides scalability for powering up to 168 discreet power
feeds from within the footprint of a single raised 24" floor tile.
To protect against unbalanced loading of the critical bus, continuous current
monitoring is displayed on the side of the unit. As additional circuits are
needed, they can be easily connected to the phases with the lowest load.
Every effort has been made to take into account the need for electricians to
have safe and easy access to the panel boards and connections. With hinged panels
designed to be opened or removed by one person, maintenance and service activities
are not only easier but also safer to perform.
The RPDU-168 is designed to accommodate installations on a short or
fast-tracked timeline. The sub-assembly of the unit can be shipped while the
main cabinet is still in production to allow a large portion of the wiring to
be completed. Because a large percentage of the time allowed for installation
can now occur concurrent to the time allowed for manufacturing, the total project
time is cut considerably.
